                                                                  Picture
As a child I would entertain myself and friends for hours by drawing and creating things. Never one to follow the crowd, I was active in art at school and church, expressing myself through my art - doing and making everything I could get my hands on.

About 12 years ago I discovered polymer clay when I took a class from Maureen Carlson.  This opened up a new way for me to express myself.  Art dolls soon became my focus and my creative outlet.  Dollmaking satisfies, comforts and helps me work out life's ups and downs. Most of all it makes me smile.

I teach my style of dollmaking around the Twin Cities area, quilt shows and other creative venues.

I am a graduate of Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I am presented employed as the Creative Director of Advertising for Bachmans.

I am married to a wife who understands my need to be creative.  I have a 20 year old son and an 18 year old daughter and 2 dogs, Henry and Emma.

My doll, Ascending to Myself, was in the premier issue of Art Doll Quarterly.

                                                                  Picture

This doll has a cloth body with wire armature arms and clay hands, head and feet. Small letters have thoughts and words of my accomplishments written in them. The cloth body is quilted fabric pieces symbolizing the parts of me  that make a whole. Wish bone on the back for wings and wishes. This piece is embellished with beads and the hair is made of silk raffia.
